As the 6 month mark rolls around I can’t help but just be amazed on how fast Paighton has grown up. A few days old!
To nearly a 6 month old who loves to sit up. Watches her hands in front of her and always wants to be involved with everything! These past 6 months have been life changing!!! From the moments of learning how to drive with a newborn to having to learn to focus extra when she was screaming her lungs out!
The mommy life has definitely swallowed me whole and changed me into a new person. From my physical appearance all the way to my mental self. If you haven’t noticed my blogs have been on the back burner for quite some time! And I must say the balance is definitely another thing I have to get use to. I have so many blogs that are left unpublished or unfinished because I start one than get distracted. If I’m not feeding or changing a diaper I’m wedding planning to the max. To top it all off I’m deciding on what I want to be when I grow up. As if the decision isn’t something I need to make NOW.
Speaking of weddings let me just give y’all a one word update……
STRESSFUL!
Do people really care about place seating cards, and the color of the silverware. This is actually ridiculous on all the little details that have to go into a wedding! Imagine all of that and having P who wants to learn how to crawl and gets into everything! Not only that teething has taken a big part of our life. From a moms point of view teethers are soooooo over rated! To save tons of money and to help your baby with fast relief. I’ve found that putting a ice cube wrapped up in a baby cloth dipped in a little gripe water WORKS WONDERS!
On a second note yes I’m still breastfeeding a teething baby even if she likes to bite me. I’ve been feeding her for almost 6 months now and I don’t plan on stopping anytime soon! I absolutely adore the mom life to the max! Having my daughter was the best thing that has ever happened to me! I may have grown up a little faster than most people my age but life goes on. One day P will enjoy these blogs and understand how I put her first in every situation. Getting a clear picture with this little one is so hard when she loves to be on the move!
Finding time to eat and simply take a bath is like trying to find your phone when you set it down in another room! I don’t know why but I can’t keep up with my phone now to save my life! Which I rather lose my phone than my baby. So I guess I really can’t complain too much. Having a mom brain is definitely a real thing! Your voice goes up 2 Octaves and you start to realize you’ve watched more baby shows today than you have in a life time. Not only that all the toys she plays with songs are embedded into my head! Not to mention on top of everything else P’s birthday is just around the corner and I can’t wait to show y’all what’s to come on her special day!
